Regional property award win for Peel Land and Property
25 Jul 2018
Peel Land and Property has been awarded Property Business of the Year at the 2018 City of Liverpool Business Awards. The awards, which are now in their 15th year, are organised by Downtown in Business and highlight the achievements and hard work of businesses across the city region.
Peel own and manage 1.2 million m² of property and 15,000 hectares of land and water which includes including Liverpool Waters and MediaCityUK in Manchester.
Speaking about this award win, Darran Lawless, development director for Liverpool Waters said:
“For Peel to be awarded the Property Business of the Year award by Downtown in Business is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the many successful projects the organisation is delivering across the UK, which includes Liverpool Waters.
“For many years Peel has been making its mark across the North West, with major projects including MediaCityUK and intuTrafford Centre. Work is now well underway at Liverpool Waters and we hope to win many more awards in the future for this £5 billion development which will feature five brand new neighbourhoods to live, work and play.”
This award win is just one of many exciting announcements and developments at Liverpool Waters. Since the beginning of the year two separate residential schemes have commenced including Plaza 1821, undertaken by Peel on behalf of Regenda and Romal Capital’s Quay Central, the first development at the Central Dock neighbourhood. Moda Living’s The Lexington building is due to start on site later this year along with a 30-storey apartment building by Your Housing Group. A score of brand new visuals were released recently showcasing how the project will look once complete.
