PEEL L&P named in Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for list
22 Feb 2019
Peel Land & Property (Peel L&P) has been named in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2019 – for outstanding levels of employee engagement.
The North West-based business achieved a two-star Best Company accreditation and ranked 79 in the top 100 Best Companies listing based on positive feedback from its team, covering areas including wellbeing, personal growth and leadership.
The results of the feedback were benchmarked against hundreds of other companies nationally and only those achieving an ‘outstanding’ commitment to workplace engagement achieved the two-star status and the chance to feature in the top 100 ranking.
Peel L&P Human Resources Director, Carrie Westwell, said:
We have fantastic and dedicated people here at Peel L&P and we’re delighted to have been recognised by the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list. This is our first year of applying for the accreditation, so to achieve the two-star rating is a real accomplishment. We’re proud of our outstanding employee engagement and the fantastic range of benefits we offer to our team.
Almost 85% of Peel L&P team members took part in the Best Companies survey, showing high levels of engagement compared to an average rate of 68% nationally.
Leadership and development also ranked highly at Peel L&P thanks to the company’s ongoing investment in training – most recently partnering with Dale Carnegie to create a tailored programme, “Ambition”, for developing its future leaders.
The company also prides itself on promoting health and wellbeing within the workplace and offers its team complimentary annual health checks, a wellbeing benefit plan as well as promoting initiatives such as a team running club and opportunities for ‘giving back’ with triathlons, a Tough Mudder team and volunteering days.
Carrie added:
Our people are the heart of our company, and it’s important to us to support every individual to be the best they can be. We realise this is the key to our long-term success as a business.
Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, said:
I would like to congratulate Peel L&P on their achievement. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Peel L&P have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.
