KPMG makes significant investment in Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters
19 Dec 2022
KPMG, one of Liverpool Waters’ long-standing office occupiers, has made major investments in a new high-quality working environment as the professional services firm signs a new lease to stay in the prestigious Princes Dock neighbourhood.
KPMG wanted to find a business solution that not only provided adaptability for its staff but a sustainable provider that meets its ongoing environmental initiatives.
Having reviewed the local market, KPMG has chosen to remain at Liverpool Waters. The entire commercial estate at Princes Dock has been reverified as operationally Net Zero for some years, offering Grade A commercial space connected to the city centre, and surrounded by water, new public realm, café’s, bars, restaurants, leisure facilities, gyms and more.
KPMG’s new refit includes new spaces for collaboration to support hybrid working, client facilities and a refreshed interior to complement the office's views of the River Mersey.
From 2023 the commercial buildings at Princes Dock will also be connected to Liverpool Water’s District Heat Network that will provide low carbon, cost effective heat and power, further enhancing the sustainability credentials.
Liza Marco, Assets Manager at Peel L&P, said: “Our customers are demanding quality sustainable working environments for their staff in the context of a more flexible hybrid approach to working. Staff productivity, creativity and wellbeing are high on the agenda, with organisations looking for not just the right office and fit-out, but the right place for their staff. With unique access to the water, new public realm, and a growing community of cafés, bars and other amenities on the doorstep, demand for space at Princes Dock is strong.”
Jennifer Lee, office senior partner for KPMG in Liverpool, said: "Investing in both our talent and offices reflects our long-term commitment to the Liverpool City Region. We are passionate about this city and providing exceptional service to the region’s expansive business community.
"A revamped office space will help us to attract, retain and develop the best talent. As well as a raft of internal promotions following a successful external recruitment drive, we’re growing our teams at all levels and are keen to continue to grow. We want to attract the best talent in the market and are looking for people who share our vision and values."
