Henry Bath signs new lease at Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters
11 Jul 2023
Peel L&P has today announced the signing of a new ten-year lease for Henry Bath at Liverpool Waters, reaffirming the requirement for high quality, sustainable city-centre commercial space.
Established in 1794, Henry Bath is a specialist in global commodities warehousing and logistics, and a long-standing occupier of the prestigious Princes Dock neighbourhood.
The company continues to invest in their working environment with the signing of the lease for a 4,150 sq ft suite, paired with a new high-quality fit out by Claremont, and a reimagined office environment with a new board room which overlooks the river Mersey.
Henry Bath has chosen to stay at Liverpool Waters partly because the Grade A office space is verified as operationally Net Zero, connected to the city centre, and surrounded by water. The growth of new café’s, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities, in addition to the new public realm at Princes Dock, also supported the decision to stay.
The sustainability credentials of Princes Dock will also be enhanced from 2023, when all the commercial buildings at Princes Dock will be connected to Liverpool Water’s District Heat Network – providing low carbon, cost effective heat and power.
Liza Marco, Asset Manager at Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters, said: “With businesses adopting more flexible approaches to working, clients are demanding high quality sustainable office spaces, and they are investing heavily in fit outs that promote wellbeing as well as boosting efficiency and creativity.
“The Princes Dock neighbourhood, surrounded by water and with new public realm, also supports the focus on both wellbeing and productivity. All our Princes Dock offices have been verified as Net Zero for three years running and occupiers are clearly seeing the benefits from both an energy efficiency and wellbeing perspective.”
Paul Wynne, Group Chief Financial Officer at Henry Bath, said: “Henry Bath is delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Peel L&P and secure prime office location in Liverpool Waters, which further strengthens our commitment to Liverpool as Henry Bath’s global head office location.
“As a recently certified carbon neutral organisation, sustainability and the environment are key strategic considerations for us, and we are delighted that our new office provides us with opportunity to meet our carbon goals, while at the same time providing our staff and clients with a first-class environment in which to conduct business.”
