The coming years will see the completion of Princes Dock with a new cruise liner terminal and hotel, new residential developments and new commercial space, bringing the number of new homes in this neighbourhood to over 600, and a total of 17,000 sq.m of high-quality office space, as well as hotels, restaurants, and a range of amenities.
Central Docks will see a range of developments, adding to the already occupied 237 new homes, new link road and other infrastructure completed in the last two years. A new multi million pound ferry terminal to the Isle of Man is onsite now, and expected to complete in 2022.
Currently in planning is a £100m development that incorporates 330 new smart homes and significant investment in public realm. Several other developments of similar size are in the pipeline and set to be delivered in the coming years.
Further north, Everton Football Club have obtained planning approval to build a £500m, 52,888 seat, state of the art stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, with work starting in 2021.

Substantial public realm will also be provided to maximise the unique views of the River Mersey and the Wirral, as well as surrounding heritage assets such as the Clock Tower, Stanley Warehouse complex and the Graving Docks.
Activity has already taken place with the restoration of the historic Bascule Bridge which connects Liverpool Waters to the four star Titanic Hotel. There is also a water sports centre, canoe club, heritage trail operator and a training company which already take advantage of the dock and water space.
The neighbourhood will provide a mix of commercial, retail, and residential use, with a vibrant and active streetscape that will animate and engage this key link piece of the city.
Significant upgrades to the area’s infrastructure are already underway with improved roads and public transport to service the new developments.
This neighbourhood also provides residential buildings, an array of on-site amenities, a multi-storey car park, and leisure facilities which includes the Malmaison and Crowne Plaza hotels and Liverpool International Cruise Liner Terminal.
There is more to come too with additional Grade A office space due to be developed alongside exciting new residential and leisure developments.
Outline planning permission includes provision for a marina with floating residential and retail units, community and leisure opportunities, as well as substantial investment in new public realm that will enhance the stunning views of the River Mersey and the Wirral.
