Driving and Parking
From Manchester, the East, M6 North and South
Take the M62 West the end, following signs to Liverpool City Centre (A5080) Keep in middle lanes then at traffic lights continue forward (signposted City Centre, Birkenhead). At next lights, continue forward along Edge Lane (A5047-City Centre), passing the Botanic Gardens on the left. Continue for approx half a mile, turning right onto Hall Lane (B5340-City Centre, Royal Liverpool Hospital, Birkenhead). At lights continue forward onto Erskine Street then bear left onto the A580. Keep in left hand lanes and continue forward, bearing left onto the A57 (Widnes, City Centre, Airport). At traffic lights, turn right onto Commutation Row (Pier Head) and cross the flyover. Continue to the end of Dale Street, and at the lights turn right onto Georges Dock Gates (A5036). Keep in the middle lanes and continue forward, following signs for Docks, Southport and Bootle. You will travel past the Crown Plaza and Malmaison on your left. At this point, bear left onto Bath Street and continue forward until the roundabout. Take first exit off roundabout and then immediate left onto William Jessop Way whereby the front of the hotel is adjacent to the waterfront.
From Chester and North Wales
Follow signs for M53 (Birkenhead and Liverpool). Take the M53 to the end, taking the Wallasey tunnel (toll). Once out of the tunnel, cut right across traffic and keep right (signposted Warrington, Manchester, M62)merging onto the A59. Keep in right hand lanes and turn right at traffic lights onto the A5053 (signposted Widnes, Airport, City Centre). Continueforward through 2 sets of lights and at the 3rd, turn right onto the A565 (signposted Southport) and then left onto Paisley Street and again left onto Waterloo Road (A5036). At roundabout, take the 2nd exit to arrive at Princes Dock
From Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Follow signs for Liverpool City Centre and All other routes to leave by Speke Hall Avenue. At roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Speke Hall Avenue (signposted City Centre). At traffic signals continue forward onto the A5275 (signposted Ring Road A562). Continue forward following signs for City Centre. Continue straight through lights (Ring Road, City Centre, Childwall). At roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A5058 (Southport, Bootle, Docks). At Childwall Fiveways roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A5058 (Southport, Bootle, Birkenhead). Branch left (Huyton, Warrington, Manchester M62), then turn left onto the A5080 (City centre). You can now follow the directions listed above from the M62 (Directions from Manchester, the East, M6 North & South).
Lime Street Station is Liverpool’s main national rail terminus, with main line trains to and from Manchester, London, Scotland and the rest of the UK. Princes Dock is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street or approximately 5 minutes by taxi. Enquire at Queen Square Tourist Information Centre for details of bus services to Pier Head. National Rail Enquiries (Tel 08457 484950) can assist with specific train timings.

Walking directions to Princes Dock from Liverpool Lime Street station:
- Head southwest on Lime St/A5038 toward St. George’s Pl
- Turn right onto St. George’s Pl
- Turn left onto Roe St
- Continue onto Hood St
- Continue onto Crosshall St
- Turn left onto Churchill Way/A57
- Continue to follow A57
- Turn right onto Vernon St
- Turn left onto Tithebarn St/A5046
- Turn right onto Pall Mall/B5187
- Turn left onto Leeds St/A5036/A5053
- Turn right onto Great Howard St/A565
- Turn left onto Paisley St
- Turn left onto Waterloo Rd
- Slight right to stay on Waterloo Rd
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Princes Parade
- Turn left onto William Jessop Way
- Destination on the left

The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Alternatively, Manchester Airport is just 53 minutes away by car.
You can catch the famous ‘ferry across the mersey’ to get to Princes Dock. Taking a Mersey Ferry to work offers a relaxed, healthy way to travel that’s also fast and frequent.
Mersey Ferries run a regular weekday service between the Seacombe terminal and Liverpool’s Pier Head, with a journey time of just 10 minutes.
As well as offering a calmer commute, their service also offers you free parking and free coffee at the Seacombe terminal, plus discounted weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual passes.
